Data Deletion

1Who this page is for

Use this page if a dealership connected your Facebook Page, Instagram account, or WhatsApp number to Otopam, or if you sent a message, comment, or lead form to a dealership that uses Otopam and want that information deleted.

2Remove Otopam in Facebook

This removes Otopam’s permission and sends us a deletion request automatically.

• Open Facebook and go to Settings and privacy, then Settings.
• Choose Business integrations. If Otopam is not listed there, choose Apps and websites.
• Find Otopam and select Remove.
• Confirm. Meta sends us a deletion request and shows you a confirmation code.

Keep the confirmation code. You can enter it below to check the status of the request.

3Disconnect in Otopam (dealership owners)

A dealership owner can disconnect Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp in the Otopam settings for those channels. Disconnecting deletes the access tokens Otopam stored and stops new data from arriving. It does not withdraw the permission inside Facebook, so also remove Otopam in Facebook as described above.

Conversations and leads already in the workspace stay there until the dealership deletes them or asks us to. To delete them, send a request as described below.

4Ask us to delete your data

Send a request from the contact page and choose Privacy. Include:

• Your name and the email address we can reply to.
• The Facebook Page, Instagram account, or WhatsApp number involved, or the name you used when you messaged.
• The name of the dealership, if you contacted one.
• Your confirmation code, if Meta gave you one.

We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We will reply within the time the law requires and tell you when the deletion is complete.

5What is deleted

For the account in the request, we delete the information Otopam received from Meta, including:

• Stored access tokens and account identifiers.
• Messages, photos, and files received through Messenger, Instagram, or WhatsApp.
• Comments and lead form answers.
• The name and profile picture Meta shared.

If the information is in a dealership’s records, such as a lead created from your message, we tell that dealership about the request. We keep only what the law requires us or the dealership to keep, such as billing or tax records, and we will tell you if that applies. Deleted information is removed from backups as they are overwritten.

Meta keeps its own copy of your messages and posts on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Deleting them from Otopam does not delete them from Meta. See the Meta Privacy Policy to manage that data.
